Scene where he is fighting and the universe materializes conveniences to aid him in protecting himself. This power is called "favor" if used carelessly, the universe will favor you less and random actions will no longer be conveniently changed to help the user. 

Example: "pinching a wound and suddenly being able to cauterize it because the universe's favor randomly procs a healing factor on your fingertips"

climax scene could be when "favor" runs out because relied on too much. usually you have to put forth some effort and favor is used as a tool, or an extension of ones self. If you don't defend yourself at all and let your favor do all the work it will leave you and no matter what you try, the path that your on is the one you will stay on.

Negative favor is when you go against your own destiny using "favors" power. Using your "favor" in the wrong ways for selfish stuff or something that has no purpose. This can be used strategically to maintain yourself in a certain timeline without deviating from outside uncertainties. Negative favor locks you in a timeline with somewhat predictable and unfavorable outcomes.

The whole idea of "favor" is based on quantum immortality and the twist is that the universe goes above and beyond to protect you and preserve you on the path of least resistance to the longest life.
